Ingredients

  • 1 cup paneer cubes
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds start to crackle, add the onions and fry until golden brown. Then add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few seconds.

2. Add the tomato puree, green chillies, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and dried fenugreek leaves. Fry for a few minutes.

3. Add the paneer cubes and green peas and mix well. Cook for a few minutes.

4. Add some water and salt to taste. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the gravy is thick and the paneer and peas are cooked through.

5. Garnish with some coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, naan, paratha, etc.

Notes

You can add more green chillies if you like it spicier. You can also add some cream to make the gravy richer and creamier. You can also use frozen peas instead of fresh ones.
