  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, vinegar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the pork cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Place the pork in the slow cooker. Add the marinade and brown sugar. Cook on low heat for 8-10 hours.

In a small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch. Pour the mixture into the slow cooker and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 20 minutes.

Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with white rice, kimchi, and other side dishes.

Notes

The pork can be cooked in the slow cooker for up to 10 hours. If you cook it for longer than this, the pork may begin to dry out. You can also use pork tenderloin or pork chops instead of pork shoulder.
