Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs, then stir in the melted butter, buttermilk, and yeast mixture. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not over mix. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the batter rest for 30 minutes before using.
Preheat a Belgian waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions. Grease the waffle iron with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
