  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil

Instructions

To make this recipe, start by removing the outer leaves from the head of cabbage and cutting the core out. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the cabbage. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the leaves are soft and pliable. Remove the leaves from the pot and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Add the onion, garlic, oregano, basil, paprika, salt, and pepper and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Add the cooked rice and diced tomatoes and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Take one of the cooked cabbage leaves and place a spoonful of the beef and rice mixture in the center. Fold the sides of the cabbage leaf in and roll it up. Repeat with the remaining cabbage leaves and filling.

Place the cabbage rolls in the slow cooker and pour the remaining sauce from the skillet over the rolls. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the cabbage is tender.
