Description

Korean pork bone soup is a traditional Korean dish that is made with pork bones, vegetables, and some seasonings. It is typically cooked in a slow cooker. The slow cooker allows the pork bones to simmer for hours, resulting in a flavorful and hearty soup. The traditional seasonings used in Korean pork bone soup are garlic, ginger, gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes), and soy sauce. This soup is usually served with white rice and kimchi. It is also a great way to use up leftover pork bones from a previous meal.

Ingredients

For this recipe, you will need: 2 pounds of pork bones, 1 onion, 4 cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of ginger, 1 teaspoon of gochugaru, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 carrot, 1 daikon radish, 1 zucchini, 4 cups of water, and salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

1. Start by washing the pork bones and removing any excess fat. Place them in the slow cooker.

2. Peel and chop the onion, garlic, and ginger and add them to the slow cooker.

3. Add the gochugaru, soy sauce, carrot, daikon radish, zucchini, and water to the slow cooker.

4. Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Allow the soup to cook for 8-10 hours.

5. Once the soup is cooked, remove the pork bones and discard them.

6. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
