Ingredients

For the pulled pork:

  • 2 pounds of pork shoulder
  • 1/4 cup of liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoons of garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper


For the cabbage:
  • 1 head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder

Instructions

To prepare the pulled pork: Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the liquid smoke, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture over the pork shoulder and cover with the lid. Cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

To prepare the cabbage: Add the cabbage to the slow cooker, along with the apple cider vinegar, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to combine. Cover the slow cooker and cook for 2 hours, or until the cabbage is tender.

When the pork and cabbage are finished cooking, use two forks to shred the pork and mix it into the cabbage. Serve warm.
