Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an oven-safe baking dish.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the head of cabbage and cook for about 10 minutes, until the leaves are soft and pliable. Remove the cabbage from the pot and rinse with cold water to cool. Carefully remove the leaves from the cabbage, taking care not to tear them.
3. In a large bowl, combine the beef, pork, rice, onion, parsley, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, pepper, and salt. Mix until all of the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
4. Place about 1/4 cup of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling and roll up tightly. Place the cabbage rolls in the prepared baking dish.
5. Drizzle the olive oil and chicken stock over the cabbage rolls. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 1 hour, until the edges of the cabbage leaves are lightly browned.
6. Serve hot or cold and enjoy!
